If we're ever going abroad to enjoy the beach, it is only right to expect that we will be only going to the best beaches out there. Fares are expensive, accommodation expenses are expensive--basically everything can become really expensive, so only aspire for the best.
In the Dominican Republic, many can argue about the best beach out there, but what's noticeable is that a lot of them are rooting for Playa Rincon, which is located in the Samana Peninsula. In fact, it is rated by the Conde Nast Traveler to become one of the 10 best beaches in the world. It is also a bit isolated, which means it's a bit quiet--perfect for your peace and relaxation.
Playa Rincon stretches three miles long, surrounded by coconut palms and almond trees, with matching 2000-foot mountain in the side to boot. When we say that it is a quiet beach, it really is a quiet beach. There are no hotels nearby, as well as vendors, signs, shops, and all those things that you see in a popular beach. In fact, there are times when you can see the beach to be deserted.
Furthermore, make sure that you have your lunch here in Playa Rincon. It's because the fish and the langosta in this Playa has been said to be among the best in the Dominican Republic. Life here in Playa Rincon is pretty much on the sleepy side; you can be assured that your weekend getaway here will be worth the trip.
There are two ways by which you can go to Playa Rincon. The first one is via land. You can get a taxi and drop along the way between Samana and Los Galeras. Just before the Las Galeras, there's already a turn to Playa Rincon, which you should take. The other method is via boat rides, which are available at Los Galeras. This is the recommended way of going here because of the sights that you will be able to see along the way.
