In a previous blog post, we talked about hoteliers' worries that it is becoming more and more dangerous for people to stay in the Malecon area, the country's most developed centers and home to some of the country's largest shopping centers, restaurants, and hotels. Representatives from the Asonahores and the Santo Domingo Hotels Association have warned the national government about the situation, wherein an average of 3 kidnapping cases are reported every week.
