Opening luxury resorts and spas in the Dominican Republic are not all too uncommon. With an economy largely based on tourism as a source of income, it's no wonder why the hospitality industry is a big one here in the country, providing employment to thousands of workers in their properties.
Today proved to be another milestone for the hospitality industry as Cap Cana and AM Resorts, an award-winning provider resort sales, marketing and brand management services, announced the opening of a new hospitality property in Cap Cana called Golden Bear Lodge & Spa.
Cap Cana has just further expanded its relationship with luxury hotel operators from here and around the world, which is actually part of its overall plan to develop itself into a regional tourism hub. For years, it has positioned itself in an interesting location with property developers, leading luxury operators, and business developers for these endeavours.
The Jack Nicklaus-inspired 126-suite will be the first golf resort for AM Resorts under its new Zoetry line of resorts. It will serve as a haven for golfers and golf enthusiasts alike as, in the future, they will be able to choose between two Jack Nicklaus-inspired golf courses, namely the Punta Espada Golf Course (which had served as a host of a stop in the PGA TOUR's Champion's Tour), and Las Iguanas. The latter is still currently under construction.
The resort will feature amenities such as top-notch accommodation, fine dining, a spa, and the golfing opportunities for interested golfers.
The Dominican Republic, particularly Cap Cana, has had a history of being a favorite destination among luxury golfers. Quite obviously, they have been able at marketing themselves for this. If you're one golf enthusiast who's interested in seeing new courses, then dropping by the Goldeb Bear Lodge & Spa is just right for you.
